English translation

Wer hofft in Gott un dem vertraut,
Whoever hopes in God and trusts in Him,
Der wird nummer zuschanden;
will never be put to shame;
Denn wer auf diesen Felsen baut,
for whoever builds on this rock,
Ob ihm gleich geht zuhanden
although at the moment he be beset
Viel Unfalls hie, hab ich doch nie
by many misfortunes, yet I have never seen
Den Menschen sehen fallen,
those people fail
Der sich verläßt auf Gottes Trost;
who rely on God’s consolation;
Er hilft sein’ Gläubgen allen.
He helps all His faithful ones.
(“Durch Adams Fall ist ganz verderbt,” verse 7)
