German text

English translation

Drum wir auch billig fröhlich sein,
Therefore we shall indeed be joyful,
Singen das Halleluja fein
singing a lovely Hallelujah
Und loben dich, Herr Jesu Christ;
and praising You, Lord Jesus Christ;
Zu Trost du uns erstanden bist.
you have arisen as our solace.
Halleluja!
Hallelujah!
(“Erschienen ist der herrlich Tag,” verse 14)
