Daß Gottes Sohn |
since God’s Son |
Verläßt den hohen Ehrenthron, |
has left His exalted throne of honor, |
Daß er in Fleisch und Blut sich kleidet |
since He has clothed Himself in flesh and blood |
Und in der Menschheit leidet. |
and suffers in human form. |
Die größte Weisheit dieser Erden |
The greatest wisdom of this earth |
Muß vor des Höchsten Rat |
must, before the counsel of the Highest, |
Zur größten Torheit werden. |
