Tmolus

Tmolus

Phoebus, deine Melodei
Phoebus, your melody
Hat die Anmut selbst geboren.
Has borne charm itself.
Aber wer die Kunst versteht,
But whoever understands art,
Wie dein Ton verwundernd geht,
How your tune proceeds, astonishing [the hearer],
Wird dabei aus sich verloren.
Will lose himself thereby.
