O pain! |
Hier zittert das gequälte Herz; |
Here the tormented heart trembles; |
wie sinkt es hin, wie bleicht sein Angesicht! |

Der Richter führt ihn vor Gericht. |

No comfort, no helper is there. |

Er leidet alle Höllenqualen, |
He suffers all the torments of Hell, |
