and inherit my faith’s portion; |
Drum leb ich allezeit |

Zum Grabe fertig und bereit, |
prepared and ready for the grave, |
Und was das Werk der Hände tut, |
and whatever deeds my hands might do |
Ist gleichsam, ob ich sicher wüßte, |
are the same to me, as if I knew for sure |
Daß ich noch heute sterben müßte: |
that even today I must die: |
Denn Ende gut, macht alles gut! |
