Daß Wohltun und Wohlsein einander begegnet. |
so that prosperity and health meet each other. |
Wir loben ihn herzlich und bitten darneben, |
We praise Him heartily and pray therefore, |
Er woll auch ein glückliches neues Jahr geben. |
that He will give us also a happy new year. |
Wir hoffens von seiner beharrlichen Güte |
We hope for his anticipated goodness |
Und preisens im voraus mit dankbarm Gemüte. |
