Thus you have considered, o my Savior, |
Den Bund, den du gemacht |
the covenant that You made |
Mit unsern Vätern, treu zu halten |
with our forefathers, to keep faith |
Und in Genaden über uns zu walten; |
and to rule over us in grace; |
Drum will ich mich mit allem Fleiß |
therefore with all industry |

after Your promise, faithful God, |
