English translation

Wir eilen mit schwachen, doch emsigen Schritten,
We hasten with weak but diligent steps,
O Jesu, o Meister zu helfen, zu dir.
Oh Jesus, oh Master of Salvation, to you.
Du suchest die Kranken und Irrenden treulich.
You seek the ailing and erring faithfully,
Ach höre, wie wir
Ah, hear, how we
Die Stimmen erheben, um Hülfe zu bitten!
Raise our voices to plead for help/salvation.
Es sei uns dein gnädiges Antlitz erfreulich!
Let your merciful countenance be gladdening to us.
