1. Seid stolz, ihr Monarchen auf irdischen Thronen:	1. Be proud, you monarchs on earthly thrones:
Dort erben die Christen unsterbliche Kronen,	there the Christians inherit immortal crowns,
wenn sie, Gott Messias, dich sehn.	when they see you, God Messiah.
2. Die Könige herrschen; dies Glücke verschwindet.	2. The kings rule; this happiness vanishes.
Dein Glück ist mein Himmel, den hab ich gegründet.	Your happiness is my heaven; it have I established.
Da sollst du Erlöster mich sehn.	There will you, redeemed, see me.
1. Wirst du mir im Himmel das Erbe bescheiden,	1. If you will grant me the inheritance in Heaven,
dann will ich, begeistert von göttlichen Freuden,	then will I, enthused by divine joys,
dich, o mein Messias, erhöhn.	exalt you, o my Messiah.
2. Da sollst du, versunken in ew’ges Entzücken,	2. Thus will you, immersed in eternal delight,
die Herrlichkeit deines Erlösers erblicken	glimpse the magnificence of your Savior
und mich mit den Engeln erhöhn.	and exalt me with the angels.
