Herr, der du unerforschlich bist in deiner Höhe	Lord, you who are unfathomable in your heaven
und selber Stifter dieser Ehe,	and yourself the founder of this union,
lass auch nunmehr geschehn,	henceforth let these children
dass diese Kinder stets in deiner Absicht bleiben,	ever remain in your intentions;
lass beider künftigs Wohlergehn	let no calamity ever hinder
niemals kein Unfall hintertreiben.	the future welfare of both.
Wie unser Angesicht auf euch	As our face is turned
mit Freuden ist gericht’t,	toward you with joy,
so wolle Gott sein Angesicht	so may it please God
auf euch erheben,	to bestow his face upon you,
auch Fried und Freude geben.	and to grant peace and joy.
Von heute an und immerdar,	From today on and evermore,
