Ja, singe nur,	Yes, but sing,
o Schöpfung, deines Schöpfers Ehre,	you creation, the honor of your creator,
du Luft, du Wald, du Flur!	you air, you forest, and you fields!
Ich stimme mit in eure Chöre	I will join your choirs
und danke dem, der mich gemacht,	and thank the One, who has made me,
der mich ans Licht gebracht,	who has brought me into the light,
an dessen Hand mein erster Schritt	who took my hand from the first step
auf meiner Pilgerbahn begann,	of my pilgrimage on
und dessen Huld mit jedem Tritt	and whose grace provided new pleasures
auf neue Freuden sann.	with every single step.
Es zogen um mich Wetterwolkenheere;	When I was surrounded by clouds of heavy weather,
