English text

Solomon

How green our fertile pastures look!
How fair our olive groves!
How limpid is the gliding brook,
That through the meadows roves.
A hundred diff’rent balmy flow’rs
Salute the passing gale,
When ev’ning breezes fan the bow’rs,
And sweep th’enamell’d vale.
