1. O seht, die liebe Sonne lacht!	1. Oh see, the dear sun laughs!
Die Wiese kleidet sich in Pracht.	The meadow arrays itself in beauty.
Zerronnen ist der Winterschnee,	The winter snow is dissolved,
und Blumen dringen aus dem Klee.	and blossoms emerge from the clover.

2. Auf blauen Veilchen sammlen sich	2. On the tiny blue violets
die kleinen Bienen emsiglich.	the little bees gather eagerly.
Der bunte Buttervogel freut	The colorful butterfly rejoices
sich über sein bemaltes Kleid.	over its enameled dress.

3. Die Lerche schwingt sich hoch empor,	3. The lark hovers high above,
im Hain erschallt der Vögel Chor,	in the grove the chorus of birds rings forth,
vor allen aber tönt der Schall	above all, however, resounds the cry
